Overview of CSA Programs

We now offer two distinct types of CSA shares: the traditional prepacked CSA Box and the Market CSA share.

The traditional CSA box comes in the form of a prepacked box that is either picked up at the farm or delivered to a drop site near you. In this model, the variety and quantity of produce in the box is chosen by the farmer, according to what's in season. We offer a summer share, which runs for 18 weeks from early June through early October, and a fall share, which last for seven weeks from mid-October through late November. We aim to provide members with produce valued at least 15% more than the price paid for the share.

The Market CSA Share, new for the 2017 season, is a good choice for those who want more choice in which veggies they receive and are able to pick up their produce in downtown St. Paul. Instead of receiving a weekly box, members are provided a gift card that can be used to purchase veggies at our stall at the St. Paul Farmers' Market. The card may be used at the Saturday and Sunday markets from early-mid May through late November. This option gives members maximum flexibility in deciding what they receive and in what quantity.
